Anything to encourage learning. We played a sight word game. These were the winners. Of course I had to make a BIG deal about their title. I'm hoping it will encourage others to practice their sight words at home.
We are learning so much our brains hurt. A kindergartner actually told me that this week. I guess I'm doing my job. The students loved these magnetic letters. We put them in ABC order, then we made words by sounding them out. These kids are SO smart. I know I say that a lot but they are constantly making me challenge them. That's a great problem to have. Our FIRST Flat Stanley arrived! They were very excited, especially Reese. Her Aunt Linda and Uncle Jim took Flat Stanley to Bass Pro, Dogwood Canyon, Ha Ha Tonka, and College of the Ozarks. It's not too late to send in your addresses. I present to you the SIGHT WORD KINGS and their QUEEN! Anything to encourage learning. We played a sight word game. These were the winners. Of course I had to make a BIG deal about their title. I'm hoping it will encourage others to practice their sight words at home. I had to hold back tears today, happy tears that is. Our students stuffed 64 boxes for Operation Christmas. That means 64 kids around the world will have Christmas presents. This warms my heart.
