The PM class made pumpkins and the AM class made candy corn.
Then we really had fun!
Fine Motor FRIDAYS are my favorite. Fine Motor skills help with using scissors, buttoning and zipping jackets, and writing names. We build those finger muscles every Friday. This Friday we tore paper into little pieces. The PM class made pumpkins and the AM class made candy corn. The PM class sorted pumpkins by size. We experimented with shaving cream. We mixed shaving cream, glue, and food coloring. We reviewed how to make the color orange (red+yellow=orange). Then we really had fun! The AM class has really been working on number identification.

Our Question of the Day was Are You Afraid of Spiders? We played lots of spider games this week. The PM class worked on colors and counting. The AM class worked on ABC's and numbers. While we were at recess a GIANT spider came and made a spider web in our classroom. The kids were so excited! In our giant spider web were hidden letters. Each student had to find a letter and identify it. They really are getting good at letter identification. Look at these cute spiders. We learned that spiders have 8 legs and 8 legs. We counted to 8 A LOT this week! BATS- We watched a Discovery Channel clip about bats then charted what we learned. These kiddos listened so well and remembered a lot. CATS We charted whether or not we had a pet cat. Both classes were pretty even. MONSTERS
We ended our week counting eyeballs to put on our monster.
