We had so much fun learning during December and incorporating CHRISTMAS ( my FAVORITE time of the year)! The PM kiddos learned about the 5 senses of Christmas! The AM class is getting the hang of this name thing. Some of them, like Alexander, have long names. Great Work! We've been practicing counting as high as we can. They counted ornaments for me and then put that many ornaments on their Christmas tree. These kids can really count!! This was the hardest sense for these kiddos. After racking our brains for things that we heard on Christmas, we sang and played Jingle Bells! Christmas TeaOur morning kiddos got to enjoy their Christmas Tea. The ice stopped our afternoon kiddos from having theirs. We are hoping to reschedule and at least have a tea, even if it's not CHRISTMAS! HOLIDAY FUN DAY!! We used A LOT of fine motor skills. WOW!
The PM class had a spcial delivery from the North Pole. They were so excited to open it! PARENTS: This is my 5th year using The Elf on the Shelf. Let me tell you, it works wonders. There is a book that goes along with the Elf. First you read the book where there are rules that go along with it. The Elf was sent from Santa to keep an eye on all the boys and girls. He finds a new hiding spot every day in the classroom to "watch" and at night he reports back to Santa. It's a great incentive for the kids to behave EXTRA good. He is only with us for the month of December. I'm sure you'll hear many stories about him. He's quite the ornery little Elf.
We were able to go to Marshall Chrysler this week to decorate their BIG Christmas tree and sing Christmas carols. The kiddos were rewarded with yummy treats too. Thanks Chrysler, we had so much fun!
It's great to get out in the community and make those relationships. |
