We begin our day with yoga. This helps set the mood for our entire day. These kiddos love having their own quiet time to belly breathe and relax.
Journal time is another favorite of mine.
I give the students a broad topic and let them draw/write. I am doing a lot of the writing now, but I'm hoping to have them writing more soon. We discussed our feelings this week. We learned that it's okay to feelings. Adults have feelings too. It's what we do with those feelings that really make a difference in our day and those around us.
