This book is worth reading.
We read the story, "I like Me". Then we charted as a class our favorite thing about us. After our together time we independently made a page for our class book. This book is floating around in backpacks. I hope it makes it to each home. This book is worth reading. We focused on the sight word TO. They were blown away at the many spellings of to/too/two. In this chart activity we were going somewhere. Fall and fine motor activity. The students tore up paper for this art project. Tearing up paper is a great fine motor practice skill. It can build those finger muscles that help up write our name and cute with scissors. Our Letter Person began this week! This was one of my sons' favorite things when he was in Kindergarten with Mrs. Bredehoeft. I figured I would continue the tradition. Just as I suspected, these kids LOVED it too. We started with the letter M. Munching Mr. M had a catchy song too. I hope some of you got to hear it. Mr. M sent us mail. He had us go on a marching hunt to find him. We found him. He left us marshmallows and M&M's. Our Kindergarteners LOVE their book buddies. They spend the first 15 minutes reading and the last 15 minutes playing with tub toys. They are building great relationships. THANK YOU to the mystery parent who bought books for every student in the class.
